For the first time in seven years, the FGCU men's and women's cross country programs will host its own invitational at the Buckingham property. It is also the site of the 2019 A-SUN Championship.

FGCU opened the 2019 campaign at the FAU Invite last Friday in which the men's side placed second overall while the women's team took home fifth place. Rising junior Lucas Kiprotich paced the Eagles coming in ninth overall as the men's squad all finished in the top-18.
Meanwhile, rising sophomore Emily O'Connor led the women's group crossing the end line first at 14th overall as each Eagle placed in the top-44.
The last time out (2012) at the FGCU Invitational, the men's finished first overall while the women's placed second. Current assistant coach Argeo Cruz took home the individual title with an 8k time of 26:00.2
