Karstetter Wins State Male Athlete of the Year

Bradenton, Fla - Former SCF baseball standout Kevin Karstetter (2021-23) has added another award to his  accolades as he was named the FCSAA Male Athlete of the Year. This was Karstetter's third individual award that he has won this year as he was named the Suncoast Conference and NJCAA Region 8 Player of the Year earlier in the year.

Karstetter finished his third year with the Manatees batting .415 with 103 hits, 30 doubles, 12 home runs, 77 RBI and 16 stolen bases. In his career, he has batted .358 with 236 hits, 58 doubles, 166 runs, 20 home runs, 168 RBI, 84 walks and 39 stolen bases. Additionally, he has set six program records in hits, runs, doubles, RBI and at-bats (660) and hitting streak (31 straight games).

During the 2023 season with his stats, Karstetter finished in the top 50 in a few of the categories, which included the number of at-bats (248, #1) and hits (#2 in the nation).

The native of State College, Pennsylvania will be transferring to Arizona State University with one year of eligibility remaining. In addition, he will be declaring for the 2023 MLB Draft (July 9-11).
