SCF BVB Readies for Lake Sumter

Bradenton, Fla - The SCF beach volleyball team (6-2, 6-0 Region 8) will look to continue conference play on a strong note for their next matchup. The Manatees will first travel to Tavares, Florida to take on Lake Sumter State (4-3, 3-2 Region 8) at Hickory Point Beach Monday morning, March 4 at 11 am.

NJCAA Region 8 Standings:
1. SCF (6-2, 6-0)
2. Palm Beach State (7-4, 4-1)
3. Lake Sumter State (4-3, 3-2)
4. St. John's River State (1-8, 1-6)
5. Florida State College at Jacksonville (0-5, 0-5)

Last Time Out:
The Manatees are coming off of completing a sweep on the road in Palatka where they defeated St. John's River State and Palm Beach State both by a score of 3-2. The sweep in conference play kept them in first place in conference.

As far as the leading pair, sophomore Kayla Gentry and freshman Rhea Kohl lead the way for the Manatees as the #1 pair as they are 6-0 this season. In fact, they are the only unbeaten pair on the Manatees so far. Additionally, Kohl is 7-0 overall in pair play as she also has a win with freshman Aleksandra Wrobel.

Wrobel and freshman partner Addison Beaver as well as the duo of sophomore Bailee Perry and freshman Morgan McGuire follow behind Gentry and Kohl and both teams are 5-1 overall.

Scouting Lake Sumter State:
The Lakehawks are coming off of 3-2 win over St. John's River State. They are currently third in conference play.

The freshman duo of Kai Register and Braelyn Mittauer lead the way as the #4 pair.
