The SCF basketball team (9-4) dropped a heartbreaking rematch as they fell to RV CCF (10-2) by a score of 87-79. With the loss, the Manatees are now 2-15 against the Patriots and have split the series with them.
Offensively, it was sophomore D'Moi Hodge who led the Manatees as he was one rebound shy of a double-double finishing with 20 points (7-for-20 FG, 3-for-11 3PT, 3-for-3 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. Classmate Isiah Dasher followed with 17 points (7-for-14 FG, 1-for-1 3PT, 1-for-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and two steals, while freshman Jordan Clark, who was two rebounds shy of a double-double, had 18 points (8-for-17 FG, 2-for-2 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Redshirt freshman Calvin McCutcheon rounded out the Manatees in double digit scoring with 10 points (4-for-8 FG, 1-for-1 3PT, 1-for-2 FT), a rebound, four assists and one steal.
Sophomore Chris Scarborough finished with eight points (4-for-5 FG) and four rebounds.
Sophomore Max Bell-Ramos (two points and one rebound), redshirt freshman Jaylen Jones (one rebound) and freshmen Marshall Kearing (four points, three rebounds, two steals and five blocks), Michael Gavin (one rebound and one assist) and Sam Grayson (one rebound) also contributed in the game.
The win for the Patriots increased their winning streak to seven games. Sophomore Angelo Johnson and Edoardo Del Cadia finished with a double-double each. Johnson had 20 points and 10 assists, while Del Cadia had 20 points and 12 rebounds. Johnson added six rebounds and two steals, while Del Cadia added one steal.
Freshman Wayln Napper followed Johnson and Del Cadia with 19 points and six assists, while sophomore Jaron Williams rounded out the game with 14 points and five rebounds. Sophomore David Anukaenyi had six points and a game-high 17 rebounds.
Notes:
With his 20 points, Hodge now has 929 career points and is now 71 shy of reaching 1,000 career points.
Dasher's 14 points put him at 731 in his career and needs 269 to reach 1,000 career points.

#7 FSW (10-1) played ASA Miami (3-7) in a rematch at home Sunday afternoon winning by a score of 91-60. The Buccaneers will be back in action Friday night, December 6 at 7 pm at as they welcome Combine Academy to the Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
Polk State (7-2) will be back in action Wednesday night, December 4 at 7 pm on the road as they face Santa Fe College (6-4).
Hillsborough (4-6) fell to Broward College (5-2) by a score of 97-84. The Hawks will return to action on the road as they face Indian River State (5-6) Saturday afternoon, December 7.
St. Pete (4-6) will be action on the road in Georgia for the weekend as they first travel to Griffin, Georgia face Southern Crescent Technical College (5-4) Friday night, December 7 at 7 pm before traveling to Barnesville to face Gordon State (1-3) Saturday afternoon, December 8 at 1 pm.
