Sandanom, Steinert Take FCSAA DII Weekly Awards

Bradenton, Fla - Sophomore Lana Sandanom and freshman Kendall Steinert took home two of the FCSAA DII Weekly Volleyball Awards to represent SCF volleyball, as announced by the FCSAA. Sandanom took the Player of the Week award for her first career award, while Steinert took the Setter of the Week award for the second time this season.



Lana Sandanom:

Sandanom, who averaged 4.1 kills, 0.8 digs and 0.3 blocks per set in nine sets, is coming off of her best offensive outings against South Florida State where she had a career-high 25 kills and six digs.

Sandanom is the first Manatee to earn the player of the week accolade since Jazmin Spencer did so during the 2021 spring season*

*Side Note: Spencer won the award when the Manatees were in the Suncoast Conference (FCSAA DI).





Kendall Steinert:

Steinert averaged 10.3 assists per set in nine sets this week. She had three straight double-doubles in the last three matches, which included her first 50+ assist match in her collegiate career against South Florida State.







The Manatees return to action on Friday, September 23 against Ave Maria University JV and Trinity College of Florida at 2 and 6 pm.
