SCF BVB Takes Home Conference Awards

Bradenton, Fla - As the SCF beach volleyball team is set for the two-day NJCAA Region 8 Beach Volleyball Tournament to secure an automatic spot in the NJCAA National Tournament, four of their players earned spots on the All-NJCAA Region 8 Teams. Sophomore Aleksandra Wrobel and freshman Emma Acedo Lapieza were named to the first team and sophomore Addison Beaver was named to the second team. Additionally, Wrobel and Acedo Lapieza were named the All-NJCAA Region Pairs team as the #1 pair, while Beaver and freshman Taylor Orris were named as the #2 pair.

Wrobel, a native of Bedzin, Poland, and Acedo Lapieza, a native of Madrid, Spain, are currently 11-2 overall with an 8-1 record in conference play at the #1 spot. Additionally for Wrobel, she is currently second all-time in career wins (29) and needs one more win to become the second Manatee in program history to reach 30 wins since Yeva Serdiuk (31, 2022-23).

Beaver and Orris, natives of Shelby, North Carolina and Venice, Florida respectively, are also 11-2 on the season at the #2 spot. Like Wrobel, Beaver has also made her name on the all-time wins list as she has 26 career wins, which is fourth all-time in program history. She needs two wins to surpass Kayla David (27, 2021-22) for third all-time.

Congrats to all of our Manatees selected.
