FGCU MSOC @ Liberty Preview

Tied for second currently in the league standings, the FGCU men's soccer team (5-6-2, 2-0-1 A-SUN) heads to Liberty University to take on the Flames in a 2 p.m. showdown with three important A-SUN points up for grabs.

The Green and Blue:
FGCU is back on the pitch for the first time since last Saturday night which saw them collect a 4-2 victory over Jacksonville at the Nest. O'Vonte Mullings fuels the attack up front with five goals and two assists for 12 points. Meanwhile, Miguel Perez leads the squad with a trio of helpers. 10 different Eagles have netted at least one goal this season.

So far through 13 games, the Eagles have played arguably the toughest schedule in program history. Nine of the teams have been at one point nationally ranked or receiving votes in national polls. Entering this week, the Eagles have an RPI of 69 which leads all A-SUN programs – their RPI was a high as 20 after the first month of play.

Scouting the Flames:
Liberty is 4-9-0 with a 0-3-0 conference record. Tyler Welch and Musa Morris each have two goals as Seth Clark has a team-best three assists. In net for the Flames, Danny Cordero has logged 900 minutes in 10 starts, posting 23 saves (1.70 GAA), going 3-6-0 overall.

FGCU captured the first all-time meeting between both clubs last season in Fort Myers, coming away with a 2-0 win.
