Raining 3s @ UNF Preview

Continuing their three-game road trip, the FGCU women's basketball team (11-4, 2-0 A-SUN) travel to take on UNF (6-7, 1-1 A-SUN) on Saturday, January 12 at 1 p.m. in the UNF Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The will be a part of a doubleheader as the men (5-12, 0-2 A-SUN) will also play UNF (7-10, 1-1 A-SUN) at 5 p.m.

Last Time Out:
The Eagles, who are ranked No. 6 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll, are coming off of a 68-52 win over A-SUN newcomer North Alabama. It was the first time both teams played each other as a DI team and the first time since 2006.

Offensively, junior Nasrin Ulel and redshirt junior Keri Jewett-Giles lead the way for the Eagles.

Ulel is averaging 15.3 points and three rebounds per game despite finishing with only nine points, but did get three rebounds against North Alabama.

Jewett-Giles is averaging 12.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Against North Alabama, the Ft. Myers native had 14 points and three assists.

Other players that come into play include redshirt seniors Destiny Washington and Lisa Zderadicka, redshirt sophomore Chandler Ryan and redshirt junior Davion Wingate.

Washington got her first double-double against North Alabama as she finished with a season-high 20 points and 11 rebounds. It was her first double-double with the Eagles and the first since March 5, 2018 (vs MTSU, 15 points and 12 rebounds with Ball State). Washington is averaging seven points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Zderadicka had a phenomenal game as well against UNA as she finished with 14 points and five assists. Zderadicka is averaging 8.9 points and 3.3 assists per game.

Despite being pulled out of the previous game due to an injury, Ryan is still averaging 8.9 points per game.

Wingate is averaging 6.7 points per game despite only playing nine minutes against UNA with one rebound.

Ms. 600, the Rebound Queen:
Junior Tytonia Adderly has been the backbone when it comes to rebounds. Adderly is averaging 5.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Against UNA, Adderly had eight points and six rebounds.

Adderly became the sixth player in program history to achieve 600 career rebounds in the team's win over Houston. The junior forward now has 674 and has jumped Adrianne McNally (658, 2006-10) for the third most in program history. She now trails only Sarah Hansen (887) and Whitney Knight (735).

As far as offensive rebounds, Adderly has 278 in her career and is 52 away from passing Sarah Hansen (329, 2010-14) as the all-time leader in career offensive rebounds. In defensive rebounds, Adderly has 396 in her name and is nine shy of passing Robyn Swain (404, 2002-14) for fifth all-time.

Scoring Milestones;
The trio of Zderadicka, Washington and Wingate continue to trend toward 1,000 points in their NCAA careers (Zderadicka, 925; Washington, 883; Wingate, 728).

Scouting UNF:
The Ospreys are coming off of a 68-53 win against Lipscomb. Prior to that, the Ospreys fell in overtime to North Alabama to open conference play.
