The FGCU softball team (8-0) hosts their second tournament of the season as they welcome U-Conn (5-4), Stony Brook (0-0), Wright State (0-5), and Southern Illinois (4-4) in the FGCU Four Points by Shearton Invitational.
Last Time Out:
In their last series, the Eagles swept visiting Oakland on Wednesday, February 20 by scores of 7-1 and 5-4. The Eagles current record is a program-best since 2014.

Lopez currently leads the team in batting average (.769). The Miami native was 5-for-6 in the series against Oakland with two runs scored and two stolen bases.

Despite going 1-for-7 last series, Fournet is still batting .417 with 10 hits, one home run and three RBI.
Swiderski is currently batting .400 and leads the team with two home runs and seven RBI. Swiderski was 3-for-6 with a triple and two RBI.
On the mound, junior Riley Randolph and freshman Marisa Mesiemore have been keys to the starting rotation.
Since her return against Ball State, Randolph (3-0, 0.37 ERA) has made great impact. In Randolph's last start, she threw six scoreless innings and gave up one unearned run on three hits while striking out six batters.
Mesiemore (4-0, 0.54 ERA) currently leads the team in overall wins. Mesiemore threw one scoreless inning against Oakland.
Freshman Taylor Bauman has also come in clutch in the closer role. The Jacksonville native currently has six saves this season.
Scouting U-Conn:
