SCF Tennis Returns Home

Bradenton, Fla - The #6 SCF tennis team (2-1, 1-1 Region 8) will look to bounce back from a tough road match as they return home to the SCF Tennis Courts. The Manatees will welcome Florida National University (1-4) Wednesday afternoon, March 2 at 2 pm.

The matches will have livestats provided by ioncourt.com and will air a random match on the SCF Manatees Facebook page.


Last Time Out:
The Manatees are coming off of their first road loss in conference play as they fell to #4 St. Pete this past Friday by a score of 5-4.

In doubles, the #17 duo of sophomores Luna Mouton and Sarah Forsyth and the duo of sophomore Lou De Freitas Bonet and Sakurako Suzuki are the lone teams that are unbeaten in double plays.

In singles play, Suzuki and sophomore Kia Carvalho-Landell (#30 in the nation) are the lone players who are unbeaten in single play.



Scouting Florida National:
Florida National University is one of the 19 independent university in the NAIA. They are lead by head coach Federico Palombo, who enters his third season as head coach.

The Lady Conquistadors are coming off of securing their first win of the season against St. Thomas University by a score of 4-3.



Series History:
This will be the second matchup between both teams as the Manatees won the first matchup in 2021.
