2nd Herd Looks to Sweep PHSC

After a successful weekend, the SCF basketball team (4-2) return home to Hal Chasey Gymnasium as they welcome Pasco-Hernando State College (0-6) Tuesday night, November 19 at 7 pm.

Last Time Out:
Recovering from losses at the Indian River State Veteran's Classic, the Manatees are coming off of two tight-nipped games this past weekend in success. They defeated College of Central Florida 93-91 at home before defeating Santa Fe 101-92 in overtime.

Sophomores D'Moi Hodge and Isiah Dasher and freshman Jordan Clark continue to anchor the Manatees offense.

Hodge leads the team averaging 27.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.3 steals and 2.3 blocks per game. The upcoming Cleveland State commit had 22 points, six rebounds, a career-high eight assists and four blocks against CCF before securing a season-high 44 points with a tied career-high nine 3-pointers, five rebounds, three assists, four steals and two blocks against Santa Fe.

Dasher follows behind Hodge averaging 19.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. Dasher had 25 points, six rebounds and eight assists against CCF before finishing with 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists against Santa Fe.

Known for making the game-winning shot against CCF, Clark continues his role as he is averaging 15.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Clark had eight points and six rebounds against CCF and six points and four rebounds against Santa Fe.

Freshman Marshall Kearing and sophomore Christnoff Scarborough continue to play their roles in the rotation as the big men. Kearing is averaging 9.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game, while Scarborough is averaging 5.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Kearing had a career-high 19 points and six rebounds against Santa Fe while Scarborough had four points and seven rebounds.

Scouting Pasco-Hernando:
The Bobcats are coming off of their sixth straight loss as they fell 70-69 to NCCAA Trinity College.

Sophomores Antonio Tucker and Daniel Derice continue to lead the Bobcats offense. Tucker is averaging 15.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, while Derice averages 10.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Tucker had 10 points and three rebounds against Trinity, while Derice had a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds.

Freshman Warren Mclymont plays a big role for the Bobcats as he is averaging 8.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Mclymont did not play against Trinity.

Series History (2012-Present):
The Manatees played the Bobcats in the beginning of the season on the road and ended up winning by a score of 94-64. As of that win, the Manatees are currently 9-5 against the Bobcats. The Bobcats last win over the Manatees was on January 4, 2017 where the final score of that game was 89-84.
