The SCF basketball team (2-2) dropped two tough losses at the two-day Indian River State Veteran's Classic in Fort Pierce losing 111-98 to host Indian River State (3-1) on day one before losing 92-77 to #12 Daytona State (4-1). With both losses, the Manatees are now 3-14 against the Pioneers and 2-3 against the Falcons.
SCF vs IRSC:
It was sophomore Isiah Dasher, who was one rebound shy of a double-double, that led the Manatees as he finished with 29 points (13-for-20 FG, 1-for-2 3PT, 2-for-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and a steal. Freshman Jordan Clark followed Dasher with 26 points (7-for-11, 2-for-3 3PT, 10-for-12 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals.
Sophomore D'Moi Hodge finished with 18 points (6-for-13 FG, 2-for-8 3PT, 4-for-5 FT), six rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks.
Sophomore Christnoff Scarborough and redshirt freshman Calvin McCutcheon had eight points each. Scarborough added four rebounds, while McCutcheon added a rebound and two assists.
Freshman Marshall Kearing led the bench with four points and three rebounds.
Freshman Tanahj Pettway led the Pioneers with 26 points, five rebounds and five assists. Sophomore Drew LaMont followed with 25 points and three rebounds. All of Lamont's points were from behind the arch. Sophomore Miles Coleman rounded out the Pioneers with 22 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
SCF vs Daytona State:
For the game against the Falcons, Hodge led the way with 29 points (9-for-18 FG, 2-for-10 3PT, 9-for-12 FT), six rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block. Clark followed with 21 points (5-for-8 FG, 1-for-3 3PT, 10-for-10 FT), four rebounds and three assists.
Kearing and Dasher finished with 10 points each. Kearing added two rebound, an assist and a steal, while Dasher added six rebounds, six assists a block and a steal.
Freshman Damerius Wash led the Falcons with 20 points and five rebounds, while sophomore Adong Makuoi had a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Other Suncoast Scores:
#3 FSW (4-0) played in the two-day Broward College Tournament where they blew out Triple Threat Prep 98-40 before defeating Wayne County Community College 92-54. They will return home to face RV Miami Dade College Tuesday night, November 12 at 7 pm.
RV Polk State (4-0) defeated Santa Fe College 74-68 at home. The Eagles will remain home as they welcome Indian River State Saturday afternoon, November 16 at 2 pm.
Hillsborough (3-1) defeated College of Central Florida 70-66 at home. The Hawks will travel to face Pasco-Hernando Tuesday night, November 12 at 7 pm.
St. Pete College (2-2) split in their two-day hosted tournament losing 80-79 to Miami Dade before defeating Pasco-Hernando 91-65. They will travel to Hialeah to face ASA Miami and Palm Beach State in the two-day ASA Tournament (Nov. 15-16).

The Manatees return home as they welcome CCF (2-1) to Hal Chasey Gymnasium Friday night, November 15 at 7 pm. It will be dubbed as Military Appreciation Night.
