Going into day two of the Finemark FGCU Collegiate Open at the Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs, the FGCU men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up day two with a combined seven wins to wrap up the day.
For the men, they played Power 5 Illinois and Louisville while the women played Princeton.
For the men, the duo of juniors Felipe "Pipe" Ramirez and Feliksas Sakalauskas defeated Illinois's Vuk Budic and Gui Gomes 6-4 in doubles play.
Going into singles, junior Marcelo Tebet defeated Gomes 6-3, 6-2, Sakalauskas defeated Louisville's Clement Filho 7-6, 6-0 and senior Javier Fernandez defeated Loisville's Alex Wesbrooks.
On the women's side, senior Julia Ascua defeated Grace Joyce 6-0, 6-4, sophomore Madison Gallegos defeated Nathalie Rodilosso 6-1, 6-2 and junior Bridget Forster defeated 5-7, 7-5, 10-8.
The Eagles wrap up day three as the men face Memphis while the women face UCF and USF.
