Last Time Out:
The Eagles are coming off of sweeping a series against LIU-Brooklyn this past weekend. Junior Mason Studstill struck out 11 Blackbirds and gave up no runs with just one hit and one walk conceded through 6.0 innings of work on Sunday, freshman Joe Kinker tied the school record with three doubles during Saturday's matchup, a mark that has been matched just one other time in school history, senior Eric Gonzalez, junior Alex Brait and Kinker had three hits each on Saturday, combining for six RBIs and five runs scored. Sophomore Nikolas Bitner and junior Trey Vickery were the only two pitchers needed to toss a clean nine innings at Friday's game. Bitner gave up three hits, while Vickery only allowed one.
Scouting Siena:
The Saints are coming off of a three-game loss against UCF by scores of 3-2, 5-1 and 7-1. The Saints' lone wins came off of winning a three-game series against reigning A-SUN champion Stetson. Siena claimed the first and third games. The teams were scheduled to play a fourth game on Tuesday night, but it was canceled due to weather.
Freshman Devan Kruzinski (.333) has had a big impact in his debut for the Saints. He leads the team with four RBIs, two doubles and is one of two players to start all six games thus far.
Siena returned two of its best pitchers in senior Tommy Miller (1.54) and junior Brendan White (2.77). Miller led the team last year with 84 strikeouts and a 3.70 ERA.
