The FGCU women's golf team will compete in the sixth-annual Amelia Island College on Monday and Tuesday at Amelia National Golf Club hosted by Jacksonville University.
The 54-hole stroke play event, which begins with 36 holes on Monday via an 8 a.m. shotgun start, will be the second tournament of the spring for the Eagles.
"We've had some really good practices over the past week and a half," FGCU head coach Sarah Trew said. "I'm really excited about the effort the team has put in. I think we are in a really good place coming into this event. It's another course where we are very comfortable and have some good experience. Monday will be a long day. We are going to stay patient and make sure we capitalize on the opportunities we have, and we will be in a good place."
