Senior Christina Kaas Elmgreen along with sophomore Petra Halmai will be representing the Green and Blue at this weekend's Last Chance Meet at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center Natatorium on the campus of Florida.
This meet gives swimmers one last opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Prelims begin at 10 a.m. each day. Finals will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Elmgreen will be competing in the 100 fly Friday and the 200 fly Saturday. The senior achieved a 100 fly NCAA 'B' standard time at the Georgia Tech Invite with a swim of 53.60. In that same meet, she collected another 'B' cut in the 200 fly with a mark of 1:58.01. The Denmark native will be attempting to make an NCAA Championships appearance for a third-straight year.
Halmai is coming off two individual titles at the 2019 CCSA Championships. She placed first overall in the 100 breast with a time of 1:00.62 and broke the school and conference record in the 200 breast with a swim of 2:11.21. The Hungary native will be looking for her first NCAA Championships appearance.
