Raining 3s @ Liberty Preview

The FGCU women's basketball team (18-4, 9-0 A-SUN) will look to achieve the program's 15th all-time winning streak of at least 10 games when it travels to Liberty University (9-13, 5-4 A-SUN) for a 12 p.m. matchup on Saturday in the Vines Center.

Last Time Out:
The Eagles, who moved up to #3 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll and first in the A-SUN, are coming off of a 82-58 over Jacksonville in a wave of blue.

Offensively, the Eagles are led by junior Nasrin Ulel and redshirt junior Keri Jewett-Giles.

Ulel is averaging 15.6 points per game. Against North Alabama, Ulel had 21 points. Ulel has 796 in her career and has surpassed China Dow (749, 2016-18) on the program's career scoring list. Ulel is four points away from becoming the 13th player to reach 800 career points in the Green and Blue's Division-I era.

Jewett-Giles is averaging 12.6 points per game. The hometown hero was held to two points, but had to assists and two steals against UNA.

Although she was held scoreless, redshirt Davion Wingate is averaging 6.8 points per game.

Throne of an Empire:
Redshirt senior Lisa Zderadicka has been dishing numerous assists for the Eagles. Zderadicka also known as the "Empress of Assists" is averaging 8.9 points and 4.1 assists per game. Although Zderadicka was held to two points, she did have eight assists. Overall, Zderadicka has 338 career assists, which include the 152 with Houston Baptist.

The Crowns of Boards:
The duo of redshirt senior Destiny Washington and junior Tytionia Adderly have been the main factors of rebounding.

Washington is averaging 8.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. Against UNA, Washington had a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds and one block. With her 10 rebounds, the double transfer from Loyola Chicago/Ball State now has 635 in her career.

Meanwhile, Adderly is averaging 6.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Against UNA, Adderly had one of her best career games as she finished with a double-double of a career-high 29 points and 16 rebounds. Adderly's 16 rebounds put her at 744 in her career as she passed Whitney Knight (735, 2011-16) for second all-time. Adderly's final milestone is Sarah Hansen (887, 2010-14).

Furthermore, Adderly's nine rebounds were defensive and she has 439 in her career. The Jupiter native's next milestone is Hansen (558) for second all-time. In offensive rebounds, Adderly had seven, which put her at 304 while becoming the second Eagle to reach 300 career offensive boards.

Milestones:
Ulel (796) joins Zderadicka (985), Washington (950), Jewett-Giles (768) and Davion Wingate (768) as they inch closer to reaching the 1,000 point milestone.

Scouting Liberty:
The Lady Flames are coming off of a 68-58 loss to Stetson and are in fourth in the A-SUN.

For the Lady Flames, redshirt sophomore Emily Lytle leads the team offensively as she averages 12.8 points per game. In the game against Stetson, Lytle was held to six points.

Sophomore Bridgette Rettstatt has scored in double figures in eight of nine A-SUN games, including a trio of double-doubles. Rettstatt is averaging 10.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Rettstatt had 10 points and six rebounds against Stetson.

Senior KK Barbour is averaging 8.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. In the game against Stetson, Barbour had 12 points and five rebounds.

Series History:
This is just the second all-time meeting between FGCU and Liberty with the Green and Blue producing a 68-50 win over the Flames on Jan. 5 in Alico Arena.
